Thetford, the leading supplier of sanitation and refrigeration systems for mobile purposes, today announced the acquisition of Spinflo, effective from the 1st of July 2005.
Thetford BV, based in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands and a subsidiary of Thetford Corporation in Ann Arbor, United States, is the leading manufacturer and distributor of mobile sanitation systems, additives, and absorption refrigeration systems for the recreational market.
Spinflo Ltd, based in Sheffield, UK, is the leading British supplier of hobs, cookers, ovens, sinks and gas fires to the recreational industry, having served the Holiday Home, Touring Caravan and Motorhome markets for over 20 years. Spinflo’s strength lies in the combination of very specialized knowledge and unique flexibility to create customer specific solutions for their cooking, heating and kitchen workstation requirements.

The Spinflo organization will report directly to Thetford Europe in order to streamline Thetford’s offering to their European customers.“This acquisition is a strong reinforcement for Thetford’s European position as a systems supplier to the caravan and motorhome manufacturers” according to Stéphane Cordeille, Managing Director of Thetford Europe. “The Spinflo products, combined with their extensive knowledge of the industry, are a seamless addition to the refrigerator and sanitation range that Thetford currently offers. The first introduction of the Spinflo products under the Thetford flag will be at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, which is to be held from the 26th of August until the 4th of September. The Thetford stand can be found in hall 13.
